Thanks for visiting our blog! I can’t believe that in less than 24 hours, we’ll begin our 3-month Asian adventure! It’s 13 hours ahead of New Orleans, so we’ll be able to tell you what’s going to happen tomorrow.
So here’s the deal: We’re flying to L.A. first, then after a 3-hour layover, 11-12 hours to Taipei, Taiwan. There, we have a 2-3 hour layover, then a 2 hour flight to Bangkok. (I’ve been a little overwhelmed and haven’t looked closely at the itinerary, but I think that’s what Jonathan told me!) We’re staying for at least 3 nights in Bangkok and that is where our planning has ended for now. We’re going around S. Thailand, then maybe to Malaysia, then Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, and N. Thailand. I’m not even sure yet how we are getting to those places… Our ticket is open-ended, but our scheduled return is July 22.
One major thing we did to prepare for our trip was get buzz cuts… It’s going to be 95 degrees with humidity as bad as or worse than New Orleans! I donated my skimpy ponytail to Locks Of Love, the organization that makes wigs for kids with cancer.
